Bruno Föhre

(1883-1937)
was the son of a master builder in Halle-Trotha. After training at the Baugewerkschule Höxter and the Technical University of Aachen, he worked in Aachen with Georg Frentzen and Karl Sieben from 1905. From 1907 onwards he was self-employed and started an office for architecture and civil engineering with his brother Arthur Föhre in Halle (Saale). Bruno Föhre created visionary department store buildings in Halle that have become quite famous.
